Torrontes

2017

The Torrontes grape gives rise to the white wine typical of Argentina, since its characteristics are considered unique in the world. Of uncertain origin, its kinship is most likely associated with muscatels, with which it retains a certain aromatic resemblance. They are cultivated in all the wine regions of Argentina, although their preferential zone is in Cafayate and Angastaco, where it is considered that it has produced a mutation over time that differentiates it from the Riojan torrontes that is planted in the Chilecito and San Juan valleys where large quantities are usually produced as house wine. In Angastaco grows perfectly in free standing and is awarded in many international competitions, such as Fine Wine.
